A lost tooth and a special pillow

My little Lulu surprised me yesterday when I picked her up from school with a big grin that was not quite right. A big hole in that grin of hers and the pride of plucking out that tooth was all over her face.

Like all my children Lulu knew right what to do when she arrived home. A lost tooth calls for the special tooth pillow. This is no ordinary pillow it is only brought out when there is a need for a tooth fairy visit.

There is a tiny pocket on the back for that special lost tooth to fit inside and when the fairy pays a visit while you are fast asleep she can remove the tooth from the pocket and place in some money in exchange.

I recommend a special tooth pillow to make the moment even more special for your child. We got ours from Frank & Me  on etsy here is the link
She has all sorts of great stuff for babies and kids

Imaginative Play with 3 Bags full - finger puppet pouches

Lulu and I got to check out a couple of finger puppet pouches made by 3 Bags full and they are great. We love to use our imaginations in our play time and these did the trick for sure. We made up a story to go along with the puppets in the ocean theam bag and had fun swimming the little mermaid through the ocean.
We had a blast trying to put them all on our fingers ...
Lulu and I loved the fact that we could attach the puppets to the pouch which has a backdrop for our story hand painted on it. The puppets are soft and made with such great detail. The best part is they are fair trade so we know we are helping others out while we are enjoying our stories.
I highly recommend check out these great imagination toys with your little ones, you just never know the stories they will come up with and if you need help with a story these even come with a card that has a list of books fitting the theme of each pouch.

You can find these Great pouches and lots of other wonderful imaginative play toys at    http://www.playandlearntoys.ca/
Shipping to both the US and Canada
And for my local readers take advantage of free delivery to Rainbow Lake and High Level

Being thrifty only makes "cents" when it comes to kid clothes

Today I visited a kids clothing thrift store. It was a total hidden gem I stumbled upon. I knew it was there but just never ventured in before and sadly will admit it was because of my own silly pride. Thinking there is nothing there for me or my kids... boy was I wrong. Not even 5 minutes in the store I had an arm full of great clothing for my girls. Name brand clothing I have been paying name brand prices for. Don't get me wrong, I will still buy new items. Mainly because I love boutique clothing. But my girls can ruin a brand new item in one craft session, playground day, or just a regular day. And they grow so fast too. Both my girls love new clothes and when I arrived home with a bag full of dressess, shorts, shirts and skirts they were so excited. The best part was that they did not even know that I spent only $30 on all of it. The picture of them with all the new (to them) clothing shows the level of excitment when the new clothes arrived. I found Old Navy, Gymboree and Gap just waiting for me at prices like $1.50 for sweaters. I highly recommened not passing up the chance to stop in a childrens thrift store..You just never know what you will find, and for me it left more money in my wallet for a visit to the Scrapbooking store today too.
For my local readers, make sure you stop by the thrift store at the new Parent Link building in High Level. Not only did I get a great deal on some great clothing but I felt great for helping out with a wonderful program. Here is the web adress to check out the programs offered there http://www.highleveltoylibraryparentlinkcentre.com/

Squid Soap

I recently found one of the coolest products for my LuLu to test out. It is Squid Soap by Airborne. Lindsay Lulu can manage to dirty up her little hands with all sorts of unthinkables through out the day and I wanted to make sure she was washing her hands properly. My twins are very good at washing through but Lindsay does not always scrub enough. The way cool thing about Squid soap is that with each pump of the soap a small orange colored ink mark is placed on the palm of the hand. The goal is that your little one will was until the ink mark is gone. It takes 15 to 20 seconds to wash away all the ink mark. Not only is this soap helping to make sure my little one is getting her hands clean but the packaging is so fun with the rubber squid wrapped around the bottle. My kids wanted to use it as soon as I brought it through the door. Sure is a nice feeling to know how excited my kids are to wash their hands now. check out http://www.squidsoap.com/ .

Welcome

Welcome, Welcome

Can't believe your here... I guess you are interested in this never dull life of mine. Or you came for the crafty stuff and the stuff I love. Which ever it may be welcome. Ok that was super cheesy.. so here is the low down on me and mainly why my life is never dull; I am the mother to 2 wonderful ever lasting gob stoppers ... the twins Brooke and Riley (7) and the never ever ending jaw breaker Lindsay LuLu (5). You may ask yourself why did she refer to her children as gob stoppers and a jaw breaker.. this is because I am for every destine to be stuck in the Willy Wonky land of craziness. It seems as though around every corner there will be some magical thing happening in my life. Be it fuzzy pop's or lick able wall paper this is how my life goes. Now don't get me wrong I am not unhappy about this at all.. it's just the best way to describe some of the madness I go through on a day to day bases. I am also the mommy to 2 very old dogs and one Super Service dog with magical powers also... he belongs to my son Riley (the super hero) who is living with and in the magical world of Autism. I love my sons world and visit it daily. I also have this Super Hero husband that manages to tolerate all this craziness and still come out with a smile everyday; he is Norman, my true love.
I do all kinds of jobs ... really anything that proposes a challenge of any sort or makes me enough money to keep up my habits of which I have many. Quilting, Sewing, scrapping, card making or anything I can make out of paper. If it is crafty I will try it at least once ( after I buy all the items you will every want or need; little to say I have alot of crafty stuff) I will blog about crafty stuff here as well as all the things I come across that I love. I hope you stick around and feel free to poke fun ... enjoy !
